Safety

SafeZone App

Through a mobile safety app called SafeZone, students, faculty, and staff can connect directly with the Northeastern University Police Department to immediately report emergencies, request medical assistance, or simply stay in touch during late-hour work assignments.

Have questions about the use of the SafeZone app? Call 617.373.2121 or send an email to safezone@northeastern.edu.

RedEye Shuttle

In addition, NUPD offers the RedEye shuttle service. The app allows users to select any location as their drop-off point on the map. After selection, the app clarifies that users will be dropped off at the nearest designated point, with walking instructions provided to their final destination. Click here for the RedEye Informational Flyer and click here for a Step-by-Step Booking Guide.

Updated Shuttle Hours

New shuttle hours are also coming your way:

August 15 to May 15: 5:00 PM to 6:00 AM

May 16 to August 14: 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM

Service runs every single night, 7 days a week!

New Coverage Area

We’ve updated our coverage area to better serve the Northeastern community.

The shuttle will now operate within 1.5 miles from Snell Library.

Riders will use designated pickup and drop-off points instead of individual house stops. This change is designed to improve safety, efficiency, and consistency.
